Areas of practice

Katarzyna is an attorney with many years of litigation experience. She worked for several years in the litigation and administrative department of a major international law firm,. She is fluent in English and has an advanced command of Dutch.

She provides both pre-litigation advisory and legal representation before courts, including the Supreme Court and the Supreme Administrative Court, and public administration authorities. In particular, she has advised a large number of Polish and foreign entrepreneurs at all stages of the investment process, including in relation to the procurement of building and occupancy permits, decisions on land development conditions or disputes against local zoning plans. Further, she has advised on matters relating to the establishment of legal title to real estate, in reprivatisation cases and in disputes over the enforcement of lease agreements.

She also advises on product liability, with reference to which she has represented international and national pharmaceutical companies in litigation.

Advising domestic and foreign investors in administrative proceedings concerning the issuance of building permits, occupancy permits, water permits, decisions on development conditions, spatial planning, as well as in civil proceedings for the establishment of easements.
Representation of an investor, the City of Warsaw and the State Treasury in a number of civil proceedings to establish title to real estate, including, inter alia, defence against the establishment of real estate preservation and in proceedings for non-contractual use of real estate resulting from the privatisation of a large state-owned enterprise.
Representation of an investor in proceedings to revoke a local zoning plan.
Representation of investors in proceedings concerning the determination of the amount of the perpetual usufruct fee.
Representation of international and Polish pharmaceutical companies in disputes concerning compensation and damages under product liability (medicines and vaccines), including advisory on a dispute over an instructional defect in a medicinal product.
Representation of entrepreneurs and companies in contract enforcement disputes.
Representation of owners of pharmacy outlets in a class action against the State Treasury to establish liability in damages due to defective legislation.
Advising one of the largest banks in disputes over the cancellation of mortgages denominated in the Swiss franc.
